Understanding GSM
GSM (grams per square metre) tells you how heavy and substantial a fabric feels. Higher GSM = heavier, more premium feel.
Feel: Airy, moves with you, quick-dry
Training tees, base layers, sports bras, running vests
Feel: Substantial, warm, quality hand-feel
Hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers, co-ord sets
Feel: Dense, warm, premium weight
Premium hoodies, winter sets, thick tees
How to Choose the Right Fabric
Four simple questions to match the perfect fabric to your garment — before you commit to production.
Start with the garment
Tees and stringers love breathable cotton; leggings and sports bras need 4-way stretch; hoodies want mid-to-heavyweight terry or fleece.
Pick your GSM weight
Lighter (140–180) for summer and performance, mid (200–260) for everyday comfort, heavier (300–400) for premium warmth and structure.
Decide on stretch
No stretch for classic tees, 5–8% elastane for gentle give, 8–12% for compression and squat-proof performance wear.
Match the finish & feel
Choose silky nylon for premium hand-feel, brushed poly for soft fleece interiors, or melange yarns for a heathered visual texture.

Fabric Care & Handling Tips
Get the longest life and best finish from every fabric with these simple care guidelines.
Wash Cool
Machine wash at 30°C to protect colour-fastness and stretch fibres from breaking down.
Skip the Softener
Fabric softener coats performance yarns and reduces moisture-wicking on poly and nylon blends.
Air Dry Stretch
Hang-dry elastane blends to preserve shape retention and avoid heat-damaged fibres.
Iron Low / Inside-Out
Use low heat inside-out for cotton; avoid direct ironing on prints and brushed finishes.
