Our minimum order quantity is 100 pieces per style. This means you can start your custom activewear brand with just 100 units of a single garment — whether that's a gym t-shirt, hoodie, jogger, or any other piece from our range.
We allow up to 3 styles per starting order, so a typical launch order might be 100 pieces each of a t-shirt, hoodie, and jogger — giving you a complete branded range from day one without committing to thousands of units upfront.
Our low MOQ is specifically designed for fitness entrepreneurs, gym owners, personal trainers, and startup activewear brands who want to test the market before scaling production.
Yes — sampling is a standard part of our process and we strongly recommend it before committing to bulk production. We produce a physical sample of your custom garment, complete with your branding, colours, and specifications, which is shipped to you for approval.
The sampling stage allows you to check fabric quality, fit, colour accuracy, print quality, and overall finish before we begin bulk manufacturing. No bulk order begins until you have signed off on the sample.
Sampling costs are charged separately and are discussed during your initial consultation. Sample lead times are typically 2-3 weeks depending on the complexity of the design.
We offer a full range of custom branding options to bring your brand identity to life on every garment. Our branding services include:
- Heat transfer logos — clean, durable application ideal for performance fabrics
- Screen printing — cost-effective for larger print areas and multi-colour designs
- Embroidery — premium finish for chest logos, caps, and structured garments
- Sublimation printing — full-garment all-over print for bold, vibrant designs
- Custom woven labels — sewn-in neck labels with your brand name and care instructions
- Custom hang tags — branded paper or card tags for retail-ready presentation
- Custom packaging — branded poly bags, tissue paper, and custom boxes
We can apply branding across multiple placements on a single garment — chest, back, sleeve, hem, waistband, and inside neck — depending on your design requirements.
Standard bulk production lead time is 4 to 6 weeks from sample sign-off, depending on the size of your order and the complexity of your designs.
Here is a typical timeline from first enquiry to delivery:
- Week 1-2: Consultation, tech pack review, and quote approval
- Week 3-5: Sample production and shipping to you for approval
- Week 6-11: Bulk production following sample sign-off
- Week 12: Quality inspection, packaging, and DDP shipment to your UK address
Total timeline from first contact to receiving your order is typically 10-14 weeks. We recommend planning your first order at least 3 months before your intended launch date to allow buffer for any revisions.
DDP stands for Delivered Duty Paid. It means we handle all shipping costs, import duties, customs clearance fees, and taxes from our production facility to your door in the UK — you pay one transparent price and receive your goods without any surprise charges on arrival.
This is a significant advantage over manufacturers who quote ex-works (EXW) or FOB prices, which leave you responsible for arranging and paying for all international freight, customs brokerage, and import duties separately.
With Decisive Wear, the price you agree is the price you pay. Your order arrives at your specified UK address fully duty-paid and cleared through customs. There are no hidden landing costs.
Both ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) are manufacturing models we support at Decisive Wear — the right choice depends on how much design input you want to contribute.
OEM means you bring your own designs, tech packs, and specifications. We manufacture exactly to your instructions. This route suits brands that already have design experience or are working with an apparel designer.
ODM means you select from our existing base styles and we customise them with your branding, colourways, and finishing. This is faster, lower-risk, and more cost-effective — ideal for first-time brand founders who don't have design resources.
Most of our clients start on an ODM basis to get their brand to market quickly, then transition to OEM as their brand develops a stronger design identity and they build design team capacity. We support both models with no pressure to commit to one path.
No — you do not need a tech pack to begin working with us, especially if you are starting on an ODM basis using our existing styles.
If you choose the OEM route with fully original designs, a tech pack is required to manufacture accurately. If you don't have one, we can assist with tech pack development as part of our product development service. We will work with your design references — mood boards, sketches, or reference garments — to create a manufacturing-ready tech pack on your behalf.
For ODM orders, you simply select your base style from our catalogue, provide your branding files (logo in vector format is ideal), choose your colourways, and we handle the rest. No tech pack needed.
Our manufacturing facility is based in India, one of the world's leading centres for quality activewear production. Our UK-based team manages all client communication, project management, and quality oversight from our offices in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire.
This hybrid model — UK management with expert Indian manufacturing — allows us to deliver competitive production pricing while maintaining the communication standards and accountability that UK brands expect.
Our quality assurance process includes:
- Pre-production sample approval — no bulk order begins without your sign-off
- In-line quality checks during production
- Final quality inspection before packaging and shipment
- Photo and video documentation of finished goods shared with clients before dispatch
The total cost to start your custom activewear brand depends on your product choice, branding complexity, and order size. As a general guide for a starting order of 100 pieces:
- Sample cost: Typically £150-£400 per style depending on complexity
- Bulk unit production cost: Varies by garment and specification — request a quote for accurate pricing
- DDP shipping: Included in your quoted price — no separate freight or duty charges
The minimum financial commitment to launch a brand with Decisive Wear is typically in the range of £2,000-£5,000 for a single-style ODM starting order including sampling and bulk production — making it one of the most accessible entry points in the UK custom activewear market.
We provide full transparent pricing with no hidden costs at the point of quotation. Contact us for a personalised quote based on your specific requirements.
